Request for appeal for refusal of asylum application

Established on December 15, 2012, the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) reviews appeals against decisions of the Refugee Protection Division (RPD) to grant or reject refugee claims.

The Refugee Protection Division (RPD) of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) is responsible for deciding whether you are eligible for asylum. Before this can happen, you must submit an application, and if you are eligible, your case will be referred to the RPD for decision.
